Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
Can I just note that here in the UK were' paying the same if not more in UK Pounds as you guys are paying in US$... which means we're losing out to the tune of about 30% if not more..

I mean... take the refurb MP750's on eBay.. they're going for $100 less than the equivalent in the UK... *sob* :(

Still weird how people are paying almost as much for an iP4000 as an MP750 though... I guess they just don't know what the latter is based on..

Fry's has ip4200 now for $79 after $30 rebate. This is $20 lower than the price they have had for a long time. This printer boasts a resolution of 9600x2400 dpi or 1 pico liter drop size. That's twice of ip4000's resolution. I asked Fry's staff to look up their invenotry in the computer. It showed no ip4000 new or refurbished. It did show a ton of ip3000 and ip6000D refurbished. The chipped carts of ip4200 is a problem though. There are also more than a ton of Epsons piled up next to the big talble full of demo printers. Well, go figure how many there is in a ton. Just too many. Epsons are cheaper. But the clogging issue is a serious show stopper for me. There are also a lot of HP printers too. Yeah, there is Canon MP780 that has the same printer as the ip4000. But it is $199. Same as 4 months ago. The price may drop any time now. So if you are looking for a MP780 watch Fry's ads on Mercury News online. I checked out the ip3000 at Fry's. Don't really like it. But I might have been fooled by the demo unit. The ip4200 looks far better.Oh yeah I picked up recently a HP deskjet all in one from a surplus for $20. It has a fax, scanner/copier and an inkjet printer. The original cartridges are still heavy so they are pretty full. Works really well after some testing. These days printers are getting cheap. Sorry, this is in California. UK is too far away from here.
