Good things ..refilling related.

The new term "setup tanks" scare is now gone. Looks like full ink tanks are included. All hardware related things that worked on the CLI-8 will likely be reusable.
The continued use of what looks to be the CLI-8 body with clear walls. Great!!!!

Resetter will likely have to be new.

This photo only shows 8 sets of nozzles - this head is different than the 10 nozzle set head used in Canon's other 8 color printers. I also don't see the heat sink used on the 10 nozzle set head.

Good observation. The printhead that I have for the Pro9000, not a MKII is identically the same for the i9900. Can anyone with a Pro9000MKII printhead comment on whether their head looks like this one?

Grandad, when you dissected the 9900 head, you were able to see the internals to see the internals. Was the 10 set actually all used or were two redundant? Also, there was a new part number for the Pro9000 MKII head. Could this be the new part number that we stumbled into fairly recently.

The heatsink was also part of the printheads on the BCI-6 6 tank series. Perhaps the newer electronics has been shrunk and actually uses less current and thus no longer needs a heatsink.

Even though the MKII print head has a different number, I have seen claims that it is interchangeable with the MKI (and i9900, etc.).

The internals appeared to be identical, but the last 2 ink supply holes were blinded off at the joint between the ceramic plate and the plastic body.

Those are some purty photos, rod. What did you shoot them with?

Great job!
