Violet was not part of the original Epson K3 ink set, and the K3 inkset is pretty old already.

You may contact this company offering an HDX inkset which should include violet, but it is not listed here

or you just mix 1x cyan + 2x magenta and create an icc profile

Ink mixing like this worked for dye inks, they could mix together. The Pigment inks can't mix because they are something like colorful sand so to speak. And besides the Violet should extent the color gamut, means mixing is wrong path to take.

ICC profile should be made either way, cause it's 2022 not 2007 when they began taking mainstream.

I have been mixing inks for a long time for blue, green, orange, red of the R800, R1800, P400 printers, you don't see any granularity - just give it a try.

And besides the Violet should extent the color gamut,

the gamut differences between such mixed inks and 'pure' inks is less than you may expect , it is just measurable but not visible at all - again - give it a try. If you are going for the last % of the widest gamut you need to go with the genuine Epson inks in the first place and should not use refill /3rd party inks at all, they can make a bigger difference to start with.

I tend to agree with that to a certain extent, but not always, yes there are some pigment inks that just won’t mix, but by mixing them in a clear bottle and leaving them to stand is one method of finding out, and you'll never know till you try. !

The base compound of some pigment inks are completely different, just like oil and water and if there’s not sufficient emulsifier then the mix tends to septate, one of the reasons why it’s hard to mix a good grey ink..

New inks are been made with chemicals instead of power compounds, for better fade results..

EPSON SC-P800 got discontinued, the SC-P900 also uses violet ink. Nobody makes it for reasonable price in Europe?

Only Chinese sellers offer it, they have managed to make it when OCP, Ink-tec failed

I contacted farbenwerk they do not tell whos ink they are using. I'm still looking for options to recommend to my friend. The sad part is the resetter is ~100Eur.

And no chips of any kind are available from china, so if one brakes, or you reset is after 15% it locks up.
