Question about cli-551 or cli-251 refilling

This is very interesting news. Do you have a link to those multi region compatibles?

Here are ones from Precisioncolor and OctoInkjet which I think will work in both regions but I have not tested them to know for sure but I do know that the Alibaba ones will work in all regions.

It looks to me like the cartridges from Precisioncolors are only specified for region 2.

The cartridges from Octoinkjet are specified for region 5 only, but other cartridges for region 2 seem to be available, it is clearly stated on the website, in orange, that:

This kit is not suitable for printers using the PGI-250/CLI-251 cartridges.
A kit specifically for these chips is also available.

The description on the Chinese website is not in the best English, and not quite precise. The cartridges are called CISS cartridges, and the chips are called both ARC and "One time resettable chips". I read the the ad as if they are offering 8 different cartridge sets for the now 8 different Canon regions.

Note that Australia now has its own region, region 6. I think that Australia was formerly region 5 like Europe.

The Chinese ones are both one time and ARC’s, so it all depends on where you buy from because there are places that do sell one complete set with free P&P, the onetime chips are region specific but the ARC’s are multi region, I have two sets of the 551 carts.
