Yeah, that's great for reading the targets once they've been printed but not for converting the target TI2 information into something that can be read by ColorPort.

Long story short it seems likely I'll need to import the patches into ColorPort, organise them in there and then generate the targets from that rather than trying to continue using the existing TIF target printed from the existing TI2.

There's a thread running on the Argyll CMS mailing list about it now so I'm hoping to get some insight from that.

The iO scanning addon has many quirks so for the price is very unreliable. I trashed the baseplate because of bad scan quality. The baseplate is very poorly made, thin plastic, not even scanning surface as a result bad measurements, and I do speak about Swiss quality gretagmacbeth product not elcheapo x-rite.

I made baseplate from solid piece of textolite plastic 3cm thick. Now thats another story. The arm itself is made adjustable tilt angle, so it is perfectly even with scanning surface. Results are nearly identical to isis now.

By the way, the white backing plate is not up to standard very quickly, so using second hand used unit and expecting quality you must replace the backing to match oem one.

Why not cut out the middleman and ask for help from a 3D printer owner on the forum..

The textolite plastic is what pcbs are made from there is no sturdier plastic, and being thermally reactive its not 3d printable

I found a cradle, a baseplate from an old i1iO which I could make available to you - it's including a teflon sliding ring to keep a small distance between the spectro aperture and the paper with the color patches.
It's not available anymore since a long time as a spare part, take care of it and use some teflon spray on a piece of kitchen towel paper and wipe over it now and then. There is a usage counter in the base plate, you can reset it with pushing and holding the button for the electrostatics for some seconds during power up.

I'm aware the baseplate does look reasonably "abused" But I can't say it looks weak so much... That said, I've not used the thing properly yet so that assessment may change.

Initially I tried to fill the base with epoxy, I got bad batch and it heated too much during curing, the item nearly cached fire. So I redesigned it from scratch. The adjustable tilt of the arm was just an idea I had to make (turned very nice), I used original brass inserts that are used to mount the arm, I just made threads into them.

The only problem is that the electrostatics does not work as expected, very weak. I don't know how to make it stronger. more volts?
