Manuchau,... Now you have me really confused... Who just went out of business,.... Atlanticinkjet,.... or TrueStar. If it is TrueStar, then what are they using now for Compatible ink carts. I would assume that they still get used original Canon ink carts and fill them again and put a new lable on them.
Then you mention that you do "A lot of Refilling". If so what is you web site so we can check it out.
Going back to the TrueStar refilled ink carts. Once they refilled them they must reset them else they would not work again in any Canon Printer. So in my customers case, she used that ink cart and it worked fine until it went empty. Then I refilled it and tried to use the resetter and it failed. So what happened and where to cause this to fail.
As an additional test, I just took the 2nd ink cart from my customer and attempted to reset it. It would not reset at all. It gave me the same symptoms as the first resetter that I had to return. The "Blue" Resetter comes with a small plastic guide to accomodate either the CLI-8 or the PGI-5 wide ink carts. What ever the design problem is, I took the guide off of the main unit and manually held the ink cart to the pins, and "GUESS WHAT", IT DID A FULL RESET". So it appears that this "Blue Resetter" has some physical design flaws as it fails more than it
works.
I'll contact Atlanticinkjet tomorrow and see what the problem it. I'm NOT sorry for starting this thread,... this is exactly what this forum is all about,.. bringing up problems, and finding solutions.
