Pro-1000 stuck

I am getting ready to move the printer across town and planned to do the Transport procedure. After turning on the printer it gave me a Code 1752 for empty cartridges. It wants two new cartridges before it will do anything. CRAZY, and I would just have to pump that new ink right out of the printer in the transport procedure. So..... How can I by-pass this code notification and get into the Maintenance section?

OK, so I called Canon customer service and they told me that there is not any way to by-pass the 1752 code notification. They do not recommend moving the printer without running the transport procedure. They also stated that the transport procedure only empties the reservoirs inside the printer and not the cartridges. Of course it will use up a lot of the ink from the cartridges when setting it up again!!

But, nevertheless, a great response from Canon customer service.
