I'd be preaching to the choir if I said that that would indicate the printer you were using has a problem but to further nail this down...Yes, they got it to print with the new head, which I could not do.
Did you put the printhead back in your own printer and get any output from the missing channels at all or were they still blank as before?
If you did that would seem to confirm the purge unit was at fault but otherwise it's almost certainly electrical in the printhead carrier.. possibly a loose ribbon cable in the back maybe?
