Other than paying $42(US) + local tax (and shipping) directly from Canon, is there anywhere that sells refurbished or better yet a 3rd party print head replacement??

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen any aftermarket third party printheads, and I would stay away from any printhead that claims to be refurbished. $42 isn't a bad price for a factory sealed printhead. If that is the problem with your printer, you will have spent under $50 to continue to use pre-chipped Canon carts that have aftermarket prefilled carts or can be refilled with bulk refill inks.

I just received a used Canon i560 without any ink tanks.
I don't know the history of the printer, but it appears the print head has not been without the tanks for very long.

Should I just install the tanks and hope for the best or try cleaning the nozzels with compressed air or soak them in hot water first??
