But aren't these settings only affecting light and contrast? Lack of saturation is the problem. Compare adjusting a colour TV. You first adjust light and contrast and then adjust saturation.

But of course a TV and a printer are different. You could also try The Hat's suggestion and see if that solves the saturation problem. Please report the results.

The inktec ink has aspect original: bottle, ticket, sticker, bar code, etc.

Results:
(images after scanning became darker.. not much but a little..)

I tested with brightness to dark and this is the result:

Another test with vivid color and brightness to normal.

@Smile I've tested with C -5, M +20, Y+15 and the result doesn't has real colors, too much red and yellow.

@The Hat @PeterBJ

With this results I'm feeling more satisfied, maybe doesn't have 100% similar colors but is better than before.

The problem must be the ink, but the results are not so bad now.. I think..

I think your results are very good. :) I must admit @The Hat was right in post #20. It seems that moving the slider towards dark increases the amount of ink put on paper and so also increases the saturation. The function of the slider might be the same as adjusting all 3 colour sliders the same amount.

I think these results were obtained with the Win XP computer, do the same settings work with your Win 8 computer? I think they will, as your images are most likely stored as JPG files; only the "PrinterEvaluation" 40 MB TIFF test image might give problems with Win 8. You could then try the JPG version of the test image, linked to in post #11.

When the Inktec inks are used up, I recommend trying the Image Specialists ink from Precision Colors. You may find that they need little or no tweaking to produce good colours.

I updated with the last drivers on W8 (drivers and software)

It works very well using the same settings on Windows 8 and using both images TIFF and JPG.

I was going to buy OCP or IS, but I have to see where to receive the shipping in U.S and after to México, in a few words sounds complicated. On my location I found a inktec store, more easy to buy. The colours are not to bad quality but I did not imagine having so many problems. For now is working fine, with vivid colours and with photo paper looks very good.

My apologies for making them suffer with my English, is the only one forum where I found people who can talk and know about profiles, adjustments, inks, print quality and many others things.

Thank you very much for help me on my case. If I have another problem or issue I'll be back here again.

Saludos.

I gotta say, this was a great thread... especially watching the quality of the sample prints get better and better with more advice and testing!
