So, some context:

We updated from http to https about a year ago. Every once in a while there would be a weird image or element someone had posted that was not secure (like a smiley from another site, etc.).

This would cause a warning message that the "page was not secure"... but in reality, it was just the image itself was not http. This was a minor detail and didn't impact the security of the site. Simply removing the smiley in the post would resolve the issue.

Now we have a similar situation where some of the images, tags, etc. in the ad-network's code is also causing firefox to throw a "warning". I spend a lot of hours trying to fix this, but then realized:

1) It isn't impacting the actual security of the site
2) Only 3% of site visitors are using firefox

So, while we'll keep trying to find a solution to the problem in firefox, it's not as pressing as it was before we realized those two items above.

Thank you for staying on it, Rob!

I'm about 30 miles East of SF, but that still puts me about 150 miles south of the fires.

While the campfire is thankfully being contained and far enough away from you, the air quality sure has taken a hit in the Bay area according to the map link I posted above.

At its peak, the fire was spreading at a rate of 80 football fields per minute (100 yards per field). Based on that, the campfire could have reached you in less than 33 minutes. That's advancing at a rate of 272 mph! :ep

Yeah, it was REALLY bad for a couple weeks! Couldn't really go outside.

Based on that, the campfire could have reached you in less than 33 minutes.
Hmm.. I think something is off in the calculation because there's no way it could have gotten here that fast.

... but either way, thankfully there's a big bay / river between us.

I guess that is referring to area not linear dimensions of a football field. With a wide fire front that is not necessarily very fast in terms of distance.

On the issue of usage, I am surprised that Firefox is used by only 3% of members, but that is still 300 odd users. (Some say very odd!)
