Pixma PRO 200 - "We need to go cheaper"

Funny thing: OCP inks for PRO 100 in bulk containers when purchasing from Germany are even cheaper than these random inks from Aliexpress. The issue there is that the smallest size from OCP they sell is 250ml bottle which is a lot for me

I'm not sure what you are after - low cost inks or quality inks - in this case by precisioncolors.

Octopus-office is selling two types - produced by OCP or an octopus fluid with 25€ vs. 18€ for the 250ml bottle + freight, and China would sell you 500ml for 7.84 € + 8.30€ for freight + 19% VAT payable at the time of import, and there are most likely even cheaper deals possible

But if you go for PC inks you pay the price because you want those inks regardless. And when I check the service fees of one of those reshippers like MyUS and similar I don't consider them that exorbitantly high, they seem to have a kind of normal/bulk shipping mode and a fast lane via courier services - much more expensive

With prices of (expired) large format inks - pigments, not available for PRO-100/200 - going up I might reconsider the shipping costs...

This is odd. I was checking directly at OCP web store for inks and found "X 158" which should be a replacement for CLI-42. All colours in 0.25kg containers (approx. 250ml) are for 4.50€ each excluding VAT for individual buyers. Adding eight bottles into the cart gives us total of 48.79€ with shipping across Germany or for 10€ more Europe wide. Either there is an error on their webpage or this is a differnet product than one on Octopus-Office. I'll try to contact them about that. That was the reason I thought it is funny: if the price is correct then these are comparable to unknown inks from Aliexpress.

I also sent an email to FALTER, a ink producer in Poland about their "SOLUTION DYE" series. They apparently specialize in various Epson inks but have also one pigmented solution dedicated for Canons. Perhaps will be able to find something that will be working.

Looking at your previous post I am grateful for your advise and for sure will try to get into colour profiling. For sure I am going to look closely at eBay for some second hand X-Rite.
