Hi all,

General printout has horizontal stripes for all colors but black.
PIXMA MP760 test results: vertical stripes for A,D,G,J; horizontal stripes for M,N; cross-hatch for B,C,H,I,K,L; distorted vertical stripes for E; blank for F.

Thanks for any advice.
Bob

You're describing the Alignment Test but first you should do the Nozzle Check. What does that show?

Thank you ghwellsjr, for your response.

Nozzle Check shows: left/right of 3eBK are solid; to the right is a pretty good looking grid
6C #1, 6M #1, 6Y, and 6BK all have horizontal stripes
left/right of 6c #2, 6M #2 have faint horizontal stripes;to the right is a solid bar

Thanks,
Bob

Bob
Now looking at your nozzle check it would seem you have an electrical problem of sorts.

The pigment black looks to be a bit clogged and fixable but all of your colour nozzles are missing
complete horizontal sections which usually means the print head is on life support.

You could spend time trying to revive it but in the end I would say it's a goner
and the only fix would be a new print head or printer sorry Bob..:(

To "The Hat",
I thank you for your prompt response. Given the orderliness of the foul-ups, I am not surprised it is due to electronics. I shall replace the printer.
Best regards,
Bob
