After disassembling the printer to clean out all the gunked up ink in an effort to get things operating better (I had a strange print quality problem) once I reassembled the printer, the print carriage head now hits the cover as it slides back and forth.
When the printer boots up, I get an error 6502 which from what I can tell means that the print head is not moving correctly.
Has anyone opened disassembled their printer? Have they encountered this situation? How did you resolve it? The clearances are definitely tight and I can't seem to figure out what's happening even though it seems everything is seated properly.
My next course of action will be to cut away the part of the cover that is hitting the print head. Just because I don't care anymore.
Thanks!
