My MP500 failed the same way. It appears to be an assembly issue?

I also suspect that. I took this picture to use if I started a thread about who was at fault? Canon or a user who might have changed the ink absorbers.To stay on topic of the thread I have attached the picture, even if I think it's winning chances are low.
