Wow, I like city-scapes like that, but dont like people enough to live in a big city....:D

...as the old line goes SIZE matters. Up to a million or million and half population the benefits can outweigh the disadvantages. If a 20 minute drive gets you into unspoiled pristine countryside, then all is well. At least that's my take on it.

Anyway here is my pic of the Ottawa skyline taken on Sunday night.
If there ever was a picture for a postcard...

The lessons are paying off. Finally. ;)

Truly, nicely done, Roy. :clap

We may have to place you and @turbguy 's amazing Wyoming vistas in a separate category to make it fair for the rest of us.

is not Slagathor the person who should be congratulated for the picture of the week?

The credit under the POTW also has the wrong attribution!

What an injustice?
:eek: (shorthand for "I double that sentiment")

Well done @Slagathor !!! :clap

Roy it's an image that allows 'discovery', the longer you look the more interesting features you see, like the shadow under the bridge, etc. (please display full size)

I agree with @stratman, as a postcard, it would sell millions. I think we are missing out, perhaps we should have a card production division, bring the HAT out of retirement!

It seems everyone is congratulating the wrong person, is not Slagathor the person who should be congratulated for the picture of the week?

The credit under the POW also has the wrong attribution!
What an injustice?
Why @Emulator you are perfectly right, about this week’s POW, I did look at the POW yesterday and taught it a bit odd but I didn’t have the time to follow it up, I can rely on the good members here to trip me up when they know I got it wrong again, phew... :th

Wow, hold on a moment Emulator, I’m too busy to come out of retirement, and this Moderator has nothing to do with the POW, it’s all the Managements fault.:D :D :D

Edit:- when you know the right people, then the POW get fixed quickly, thanks sumi..

It was this baby elephant which triggered a zoo for some action with local artists

Baby Elephant.jpg

they created bare fiber glass bodies in three different postures and asked local artists to paint them over
with oil paint, all these - about 50 - were placed in the zoo and visitors could vote for the best.

And at the end of the year you could buy a calendar with the prints of the 12 best voted versions....
