The boxes I bought look the same. It is a new package, but it still says Sihl GmbH on the backside. Better get up early Monday to be sure to get your share. :)

These papers are really good stuff. All others asking 30 euro for a box of 50, is way too expensive for a similar quality. I find it quite light stable too (no yellowing) after long exposure.

Now I think the surprises will come from chinese manufacturers. The chinese papers produced are becoming better and better at an extra-ordinary good price.

It should be in Poland in the last week of August for ~25 zł (~6 EUR).

When I bought laminator, it waited 50-100 people. Luckily, not rushed to the laminators. I was in the same LIDL shop next day and only 3 of them was sold, but laminating pouches were sold almost completely, only 3 sets of A5/4x6" were left.

But the photo paper "United Office" is here better recognized brand...

Still no paper :hit
But I found some discount on Canon OEM inks in "Avans" shops.

PGI-525 at ~17 zł ( ~5$, ~4 EUR) and CLI-526GY at ~13 zł ( ~4$, ~3 EUR) is unusually cheap.

it's not the same papers, the Aldi/Lidl/Sihl is 280 gr, the Netbit is 300gr, and when you compare them directly the Netbit is more neutral white, the Sihl paper is a tad more yellow. The Sihl paper is marked as such, Sihl does not have a problem to be sold at discounters, other premium paper companies have, so they hide themselves behind a distributor and don't tell their name. The Netbit paper takes a little bit more ink than the Sihl paper, if you would use the highest quality settings on an Epson printer - RPM or extra fine, the Sihl paper may show little ink puddles at mixed dark colors, the Netbit paper does not. But you don't need those settings, you won't get more color saturation. And there ist a slight difference in the gloss appearance. But despite those small differences both papers have a very similar color space when you create ICC profiles, and both are a very good deal for their price. Both papers are PE coated, the touch of the back is like photo lab copies, without the feel of paper fibers.

I think you are being a little overly anal there and a tad unfair to the lidl paper, the extent of perfection you are looking for is fine and understandable but for most people the differences will be minor. To get the type of results i supect you want @Ink stained Fingers i suspect you would need top class paper, original ink carts, calibration and more. Sure some will go through all that and spend out for all that, for many though considering its an ink refill forum i doubt they care too much about minor differences. Of course i may be wrong and opinion will of course vary.

Oh, I'm very happy with both the Sihl and the Netbit papers, and use them as they are available, and can recommend them to others. I know those top class papers, but their slightly better gloss, a little bit better color space whatever else are not good enough for me to pay 5x or 10x the price of the Sihl paper. And I'm getting the best out of them with profiles and 3rd party ink. I have seen lots of other papers, not flat, uneven gloss, unsuitable for pigment inks, etc, for a much higher price than the Aldi papers.

To be honest i do agree some paper is poor or not as good as others :) Ive had glossy paper which was terrible, a pack of 6x4 from a poundland about a year back. The glossy surface was all patchy the best way i can describe it is it looked like someone had sprayed a car with the lacquer coat and missed areas, needless to say it went in the bin.
Hmm i wonder if the forum has ever had a 'best' and 'worse' paper thread (ill have to go search) that would be an interesting read.
