OK, so here is my:

(PG-40 BLACK) and (CL-41 COLOR)

Print nozzle tests with ip1600. Scanned at 600dpi so please save them and view with you graphics editor program to increase magnification.

NORMAL TEST:

EXTENDED:

Notice dirty black in extended test, and missing light magenta. I would like to hear comments about what would cause black to get dirty and btw the cartrige was refilled ~10 times.

Hi,

don't know much about Canon cartridges, but may be the refilling lifespan of the cartridge is near it's end.

I'd buy another cartridge (new or compatible) and check if the nozzle test would come out the same. The purchase of another cartridge is going to take place anytime soon, so no money thrown away.

Well the prints are good enough to leave the head unchanged for now, if I choose to replace it will cost 60% of the printer and the black is the rest 40% :)

Since it uses pigment ink I'll try to dilute it with dye ink and make 50%/50% solution to try to clear it a bit :)

I resolved the problem by using coated high resolution paper, the prints made on plain paper were misleading because ink absorption was the problem. In other works bad plain paper quality I guess.
