Hey folks,

Just a very brief heads up that I will be taking some family time with, erm... well.. the family :) plus sorting out quite a few "New term/semester" IT related tasks at my remaining primary schools. So, rather than try to play both ends against the middle I've opted to delay all order processing and shipping for OctoInkjet orders placed between August 24th and September 4th.

That way I'm not missing out on evenings with my mother telling my wife stories (the ones I wish she'd forgotten!) or the all important quality time with my son... I also have to complete a major overhaul of my storage and work space, which is part done but needs finishing off. All in all, it's stuff that will be a bit of inconvenience short term but of benefit in the longer term when I'm more relaxed and can do/find stuff quicker and easier.

Figured I'd pop this up so those of you who've been wondering about KMP Universal black or resetters, or whatever.. actually know why your stuff hasn't turned up after a week.. because I just know some of you will manage to place an order right bang in the middle of that 10 day period :)

Cheers All...

Martin

In case anyone was wondering, I'm back to chaos central so I'll be able to respond to queries, etc.. quicker... but orders are going to be going out as expected ie: between Saturday and Monday, depending on what else the gremlins can throw at me.

Holiday? what holiday? :)

Hi websnail, I wonder if you will be able to carry some product (probably small amount) that can be used to lubricate syringe? Even though I am using squeeze bottle for refilling but there are time when I need to use syringe. After utilizes it for a while and after repeated cleaning, it became very hard to use syringe.

Unfortunately anything that would lubricate a syringe would likely pollute the ink so I'm not sure that would be possible.

I'll have to look into it but it's something I'll have to pop on the back burner until I have time to think and do the research.

*heads back to his packing*

websnail thanks for the reply.

I wonder if the Magenta batch problem has been corrected as mentioned in one of the thread sometime back. As I see the picture of the Magenta bottle is showing up as slightly more reddish in color. Probably has got to do with the lighting and angle the photo is taken. So for CLI-8M, am I right to say one should be looking at the 6121D?

I would certainly hope it's resolved as this was a brand new batch that Image Specialists had to actually make so it doesn't get much fresher.

One thing I found, when I was doing the testing, was that the inks all worked considerably better when the cartridges had all been flushed and all the inks were IS, not a mixture of OEM/other 3rd party/etc...

Not sure of your particular setup but if you've got any scanned output images you could email across directly (I'm guessing you have my email on your order) and I'll take a look.

Might also be worth double checking that the ink is feeding properly, the cartridge reasonably fresh, etc...
