All of them! LOL
Have you found the HP glossy to be compatible? I've tried the one with the coating on the back with the HP logo running diagonally and I have not found it a favorable paper to use on the Epson printers. It takes much longer to dry and you can see sort of like an etched effect on the surface on high contrast demarcation lines of the image.

Do you have any Red River of Epson Luster? I find that even OEM inks will display the common effects of Pigment inks. Only a Gloss Optimizing coating seems to solve it.
I still end up having use my GLOP Dedicated Epson 1400 to over coat prints when they require it.

As long as the color properties are much better, and you agree that they are right? Then I can put up with any other minor roblems. The price of these OCP inks ares simply too good not to consider using them.

So it would seem that only certain papers would affected more than others. The same goes for most other ink sets.

Could I convert "any" ordinary Epson Printer into an All GLOP Dedicated printer? or is quadtonerip specific designed to utileze the 1400 only?

Hi Joe,

Yes: the color properties are way better indeed compared to the older version OCP K3 normal magenta version. I just compared to a print I made with my former Epson Pro 3800 with genuine Epson ink on this particular HP Glossy paper and it indeed does suffer from gloss differential, but less compared to prints made with the latest OCP K3 Vivid Magenta ink. Actually I did the test this morning, because it is the most shiny and glossiest paper I have in stock. The results are not so good als yesterday evening using semimatte/pearl like papers of Moab and Epson.

OCP K3 Vivid magenta ink works actually very nice on Epson SemiGloss (Luster/Pearl surface), which you have seen in the youtube video with the ABW-mode print and the picture with the baby face (postcards). I also have a generic paper that is almost identical to Ilford Pearl and on this paper the results are pretty good too.

No, QuadTone RIP is not only for the 1400
It comes with curves for many other Epson models. BUT those curves are meant for printing with Piezography all balck ink system frm Jon CONE ( Inkjetmall.com )

To be able to print with an all GLOSS Optimizer system, you need a custom curve so that when you over print a print suffering from Gloss differential or Bronzing you will get an even amount of GO applies across all the colors.

If you have net seen this yet, here is my video the fully covers the subject and process:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iRUoUwwSlA

This REALLY works extremely well.

You can print with the lowest cost inks in the world, get great color and then print over your glossy / luster prints with a perfectly even coat of GO which will make the print pristine!!!

I use a CISS on my 1400 loaded with image specialist inks Gloss Optimizer for the R1900 / R2000

OCP does make Gloss Op for those printers but I can not get it in the USA as I would have to order 25 kg of it by ship!!!!

I get an 8oz bottle from either precision colors or Inkjetcarts.us and split it among the 6 CISS resevours.

It is the perfect solution if you have to have a spare Epson Printer

Yes. Do you want me to email you a curve? You can edit the pertinent Printer info out and then add the channels individually.
Your R800 channels would mean adding to extra channels
You would rename each channel
Cyan
Magenta
Yellow
Red
Blue
Matte Black
Photo Black
Gloss Optimizer

The ammount of Gloss that each channel deposits is controlled by the value you asign to it. You would of course apply the same value to each channel so that each channel puts out the same amount of GO.

You can start with a value of 2000 per channel and see how the results look like.

You have to create clones of the curve for each value.
I have 4
3000
4000
5000
6000

Let me know and I can email you mine 1400 6 channel curve for you to edit in notepad.

By the way one liter of R2000 GO would cost me $105 plus shipping.

well up to 5kg shipping to us would be 35 46USD
up to 10kg is 45 60USD

GO is All the same for All OCP R1800/R1900/R2000 its just 10
so pack 9bottles for 90 plus OCP handling 6 and US shipping 45 = 190 USD approx life time stock on GLOSS

Do you consider it good gloss optimizer? There are differences you know.
The Image Specialist Gloss is pretty good and then there are some cheap ones that are useless.

It it was as good as IS I would pay that for 9 liters of that stuff. But it would have to at leastbe as good as Image Specialists

Do you want the QuadTone RIP GLOSS Curve for the 1400?

Did some prints on another glossy photo paper (Aldi Sihl-X glossy paper) and the results are pretty OK now, so I presume the HP Glossy paper was not designed for either pigment or Epson printers at all.

The most striking feature of the OCP K3 Vivid ink is the incredible good gloss of the LB, LLB and PK inks. It almost shines like a mirror. If they can improve the M and LM inks, than this ink will an absolute winner, because of the price.

I am thinking to use a set of T129x cartridges to refill with the K3 inks for ABW-printing in my Epson WF-7525, but can somebody tell me which K should be put in the corresponding CMYK cartridge ?

I am thinking to refill as such:

Photo Black in Cyan cartridge
Light Black in Magenta cartridge
Light Light Black in Yellow cartridge

Or should I mix the inks ?
