The best way to achieve satisfactory results is to apply yourself to the stock profiles that came with your printer
with different setting and then view the results.

Just because your printing on canvas your printer doesnt know that so use any or all of the profiles that's available to you.

I have never bought any 3rd party profiles myself; I have a lot of Canon printers so I can use these profiles
from the different printers to get the results I am looking for..:)

Hello, I have also an OCE CS 2236 Printer.

I like to refill the Ink Tanks. I know how to get in the service mode, but I can`t find where I can switch off the "ink check". Is there someone who can help me?

thanks a lot

Unfortunately it’s not that easy to find the correct LCD screen you’ll need to disable the ink monitoring
without having a user manual for your printer, you will just have to cycle through each screen
till you can locate the right one.

The ink monitoring can only be turned off on each cartridge (One at a time)
when the printer prompts you with the on screen out of ink warning, it’s not possible before that,
nor can it be turned off from within Service Mode either.

Service Mode can be destructive to your printer so you should only use it if you know how too,
mostly you cannot undo these commands so be very careful..

Hello,

thank you very much, this is a great help!
Now I know, I have to wait, till one Ink is empty.

So in this case, if of my Ink-tanks will be empty, I may turn off the ink check. Can I switch off the ink check for all colours, or just for the empty one?

Have I to do this in the service mode, or just in the normal menu?

Thanks you

You can only disable your ink monitoring one at a time on each cartridge
as each one shows up empty.

Please make sure and this is important that you refill any of your cartridges
before you disable the ink monitoring otherwise you’ll damage your print head.

Disabling the ink monitoring can only be done from your LED menu screen
and nowhere else, you will however have to get a new Maintenance cartridge
because you cannot by-pass the chip on that important cartridge..

Okay I understand,

and if I understand you right, if I have filled up the normal Ink-catridges, there is no problem, to print with refilled ink (if it is a good quality)? So I by-passed the chip and I may refill my catridges now evertime they will be empty?

To the maintence tank:
If it is full, so have have 0% doesn't mean, it is really full of wasted ink.
My catridge showed 0% capacity, but it was a only filled ~40% with ink.

There is a possibility to set the status of the maintance catridge to 100%. If you are interestet in, I will explain how you can manage this.

But it is very important to check this catridge copntinous, to change it, if its is really full!

That is correct but don’t wait till your cartridges is nearly empty, refill at ¼ full.

So when do you know that your catridges are only 1/4 full? Just value?
Which kind of ink do you use? Where can I get it? Problem is, I live in Germany (shipping costs etc.)

How to set the maintence catridge to 100%

Before you turn on you printer, press the paper source and the information button at once, turn on you printer and hold them both till a "S" will appear in your display - now you have the service mode when you enter your normal menu.

Press menu choose SERVICE MODE and search for initialize press enter, search W-INK and press OKW=Ink will appear a second in your display.

If you get out of the menu, your Waste ink catridge now will show 100%. If it doesn't work repeat it
sometimes, you have to do it twice.
But now it is very important to check the catridge continous, to change it, if its is really full!

The best way to refill and maintain a good ink supply in your cartridges is to use a scale.

Weigh a full cart first and then an empty one and the difference in weight
between them in grams, will be how you measure how much ink to use, so one gm = I ml.

Thank you for sharing this useful maintenance cartridge procedure,
it’s bound to come in handy for other users of wide format Canon and Océ printers..:thumbsup
