New Pro-100 for $48.00 deal

Has anyone tried to buy from USA by using the shipping forwarding services that make the seller beleive you are from USA too, you pay the shipping and tax but at 48$ that will not be huge I think. The shipping will be not cheap

The shipping, import taxes, VAT and custom duties will neutralize the whole price up to....€400 or so even more expensive, rendering it a no-go alternative. In the EU-zone by law the warranty period is 24 months, so in case of any defect sending back to the USA would be very inconvenient taking into account the shipping cost.

Actually with import taxes, shipping costs, custom duties, delivery costs (yes in Belgium the postal services charges this for custom checked products)....the price will be most probably near €400.- or more. Scotty, could you beam down one of those Canon Pro-100 printers ???

Price here in Belgium: €459.-.....how much is that in US$??? And without the paper deal.....I forgot: shipping not included .

Here is an on-line currency converter. It gives the answer: €459 = $575

Pro 100 price in Denmark is DKK3500 = $589

Here I can get one for $1200, or a 3880 for $1500, which would YOU choose, just cant make up my mind!!!

I hadn't realized that these great deals are only here in my side of the pond.............why would Canon leave out the other half of the equation?...........makes no sense to me.
Surely Canon knows that the Euro theater is a major buyer too?

That's the thing Brian,
i'm kind of embarrassed that we can enjoy the purchase, or the ravaging of the market here so easily while the other half of the majority in the world is treated so poorly.
Canon, you need to wake up and smell the ink sales here and make this offer worldwide.
Well that's really how i feel.

Most Canonites and a bunch of profiteers are taking advantage of these deals to rape victims that really want a Pro-100 but don't know any better.

Sorry if i offended anyone by posting this here as i can see now it's a deep gash that i've poured salt into.

I have never thought about that, but I think it is plausible.

Does anybody know the EU legislation regarding this?

I thought the USA was pretty hot on Anti Dumping, I know Aus is and I thought the EU was too.

It may be that there I a loophole created with the rebate???
