Just purchased the Canon MG6821 printer using CLI271 and PGI270 cartridges. Currently researching aftermarket ink and ARC refillable cartridges sellers. Would very much like to hear from other members and their experience with sellers of ink and cartridge quality such as InkProducts, Precision, InkSupply (MIS) or other popular sellers.

TIA Frank

There are two way of using refilling products with your MG6821, the first is to use compatible refillable carts with ARC chip and 3rd party inks, the second way is to use OEM XL cartridges, a resetter and 3rd party inks.

The compatible cart with ARC’s are the cheapest option, but can and will perform differently each time you refill them, they are not unreliable, but more like cantankerous and need to be refilled carefully.

The OEM XL cart are much better to use in the printer, and are more reliable and give better continued quality output, but they are far more expensive to buy than a set of compatibles, and you’ll also need a redsetter for these carts.

There is also another way to use your printer, and probably the cheapest buy far and that is to purchase aftermarket pre-filled one time cartridges...

Choices choices...

The problem I have found is no one will recommend a brand or company that supply compatible cartridges.
Can someone please give me a recommendation because the prices and choices are vast. All I am looking for is someone (on here hopefully) to say I use ..... and they are good

@fdm2000, The problem with recommending one type of compatible refillable cartridge is as I said difficult, because they each work but with their own set of issues.

There are as far as I know two types of refillable carts on sale and you’ll need to read the instruction carefully that come with the carts to get the best from them, I have used both types and all dough they worked for me, they are cumbersome to work with, I prefer the CLI-8 carts anytime.

The only recommendation I can give is to use the OEM XL carts with redsetter, or aftermarket one time carts, that way you can be sure of better results.

If you wish to use compatibles then you can try both these suppliers for inks and cartridges on your side of the pond, they both sell the same type of cartridges...

@Flying Scotsman, you are looking for Epson carts and inks so try looking and talking to Martin here in this place for any questions you may have..

Nope, the iP7250 was trashed because of the refillables that we used and we bought a Maxify instead...;)
