Allow me to explain!
I found this forum while researching ink options for my Canon Pro-100 printer AND while trying to find a cure for my clog-O-matic HP x551dw.
I ended up deciding to stick with OEM ink in the Pro-100, largely because of display longevity requirements. I also decided to junk the HP and replace it with something else...something preferably Canon, since I've had nothing but great luck with the half-dozen I've owned over the years. I need it to be fast and have duplexing; after researching the archives here I decided the the right printer would be a used ip4300 or 4500.
Which brings me to the hate part...last week I found a new, sealed-in-the-box ip4300 on my local Craigslist for $30. Yes, thirty dollars. Needless to say I grabbed it and hurried home! Printer works fine and has supplanted my HP. It's not as fast, but it's better than most and the print quality is superb.
Not sure if I should hide my face or parade in smug victory, but here I am!
