Switched to MS Edge.

:fl  :):pop :thumbsup

Appears to be working properly with Edge. :ya

Firefox broken or server software misfiring with Firefox?
Thanks for testing another browser! This process really helps us narrow-down where the problem might be.

For example: If the same problem is happening on all browsers to all people, then it's clearly a problem with our software.

... on the other hand, if it's just a few (or one) user and/or a specific browser, then it's usually a sign that some addon, extension, software bug in the browser, etc. is to blame.

So, since we're unable to duplicate the issue, it's vital to have as many people report the problem with detailed and specific information about their browser and also steps to reproduce the problem.

@Nifty Have there been any updates, upgrades, patches, or settings changes to the forum software or server in the week prior to my first post? I ask about the week prior because I experienced the issue for a day or two before reporting.

Windows and Firefox were not updated as far as I know immediately prior to the issues appearing. Firefox has had an update (95.0) during this issue and does not appear to resolve the emoji issue.

Firefox extensions NoScript and Adblock Plus are set to default auto-updates.

Norton 360 does auto-updates.

I went through ever single one of the 23 items listed in NoScript that can be Trusted or not that load with your page and none of them were the culprit.

Disabling both Adblock Plus and NoScript does not resolve the issues.

Finally, I disabled all Firefox extensions and the emoji issue remained.

My Microsoft Edge test previously did not have NoScript or Adblock installed. With them both installed and the minimal amount necessary of NoScript items "Temporarily Trusted" I had zero problems with the emojis.

Looks like a conflict with Firefox.

EDIT

Firefox did not update immediately prior to the issues appearances.

Firefox v 94.0.3 Release November 22, 2021

Firefox v 95.9 Release December 7, 2021

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/releases/

Firefox was working fine with the forum until December 5 or 6 in my recollection.

Did anything change on your end around those dates?

I use Firefox browser and am still having a few issues with the emoji .. But it all depends on which ones I use, not all of them cause trouble.. Most do however..
