In the long run it is always scary to buy compatible cartridges because you don't really know what you're getting.
That said, my father has run 3-4 sets of these through his iP4700 (CLI-221) printer. They didn't clog the printer and the output was on par with my refilled cartridges (actually a closer match that my Hobbicolors in the CLI-221 cartridges).
I can't say that they won't change suppliers or that it is the best option, but I know that these did work well for my father.
