Thanks to all! I chickened out and bought a refurb 780. I just LOVE this printer!

While the other suggestions were excellent, the fact that you can still find your beloved refurbished MP780 printer for sale, one that uses the BCI-3 and 6 series cartridges, is almost enough for me to believe in miracles again. Congats!

Seriously, you have done well...AND you would have been satisfied with some of the newer models as well.
