The kit I got from Hobbicolors was fairly cheap and it came with plastic plugs plus a few spare. The plugs are amazingly easy to handle. It only takes 5 seconds at most to plug or unplug. Unlike screws that will wear out the plugs will last forever.

I apreciate your remarking on the palstic plugs from Hobbicolors. Rarley if ever recall reading about someone's experience with them. I wondered if they would interfer with Canon's CD Printing function on my MP 830. Are yours countersunk (head is flush) with the cartridge?

Those are non-chipped compatibles, meaning you will have to turn off your ink counters and potentially void the warranty. If you want chipped cartridges which do NOT turn the levels off, and which work beautifully, try the TrueStar compatibles from Atlantic Inkjet.com. My customers so far, are very satisfied with them.
