That’s correct no other applications can be affected by Canons attempt at blackmail, otherwise Adobe would have them in court big time..

Thanks Hat for confirming this. I can now go ahead and get my second set of cartridges, refill kit and resetter. Do you know which ink runs out first in most cases or is it typically random based on what's being printed?

I couldn’t have said it better myself, it’s purely random based on what type of photos you print.

But at a guess I’d say grey and photo cyan, followed by the rest..
