Continuing on with my first and second list of prints, here are updates (links and then pics below):
  1. Fan Cover + LED
  2. Tool holder / bracket (customized for tape holder)
  3. Various nuts and tests of threading nuts (which didn't work out well)
  4. Custom glue stick clip magnet
  5. Mason jar lid
  6. Custom LED strip lighting magnetic clip
  7. Push drill (tallest item I printed, maxed out my height / z-axis)
  8. Vacuum connector for cyclone dust collector / separator (longest / biggest item took 3.5 hours to print!)
  9. ... and a bunch of tests of random stuff.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things ;)

It's the only one I've used, so I don't really have much to compare it to, but it's been working fine for me.

I will need to order some PLA Filament before my printer kit arrives.
I use “REAL” filament and have had no problems with it, I can get it for €21 a box and it comes in from Holland... www.real-filament.com.

P.S. some of the self builds come with a half roll of filament in the kit..;)

I just started my biggest project, this docking station for my phone. It's so big I had to trim about 20mm off the top to get it to fit in my print area!

Cura says it's going to take 4 hours, but my guess is more like 5 (Cura is always a bit under with calculating time). It also says 85 grams of filament... which based on my math, will be $1.36

I use Real Filament PETG and it's good stuff. I would expect their PLA to be equally good, as @The Hat indicates, and is pretty reasonable value at £16-£17 on amazon (depending on colour).

My biggest problem when buying filament is deciding what colour to go for!
