I've been infected by the printer hoarding virus and acquired today a Pixma IX7000 A3 office printer with max 500 pages printed.
Only had to clean the mess caused by compatible cartridges from 123inkt.nl :( and it printed flawless :).

Since the printhead and the cartridges are the same as my 2 MX7600 A4 All-in-ones, a want to stock one of these.
My idea was to place the cleaning cartridges I got with the IX7000 (with a mixture smelling isopropanol - also from 123inkt.nl to clean the m... - strong business if you ask me) and do deep cleaning until the nozzle checks are blank.

Is this the way to go ?

Aha, is het al zo ver gekomen.....wellcome to the club. I suggest to soak the print head and execute a deep cleaning after this procedure taking care you have dried the print head immaculately.
