Super congrats, that's fantastic!

Reminds me I'm overdue for checking out the stats on my printers...

I think this model become old now it was cost 150$, now the new model 7110 cost 200$ or less, its A3+ printer not A4.....
hope you get it

It is hard to find A3 models here - very limited availability. There are some Epson 14xx out there but usually bundled with a CIS (Chinese sellers). With your success, I think I might go for the HP7000, which I was told was used sparingly.

What are your thoughts on Lyson or Inktec inks? I'm going by your recommendation to use refill carts instead of CISS. Sorry, mods, if this is a bit OT.

Congratulations for that performance! I would love to reach 50% of this record with my own MP830. However my experience with MP830s is rather disappointing. I bought the first new one in 2006 or 2007. It failed after 3 years. I correlate the failure of the unit with the use of non original canon ink. I purchased a 2nd unit from Ebay. I didn't check the EEPROM repport at that time. It failed after 18 months, after massive print head problems. I bought a 3rd unit from Ebay which died yesterday after having a probable PGBK purge problem. I don't print much say about one or 2 copies a day. I believe I have printed more nozzle check prints that normal prints. I mostly used this AiO unit as a duplex scanned - which is indeed a great feature.
I am convinced that your performance is not purely coincidental: you had certainly the proper care and use for your printer.

Thanks.

I thought I was the only person on earth owning a MX7600 but last week I found one offered on a local website for a low price.
Went to test it tonight but nozzle checks were blank for 3 cartridges, even after a few cleaning cycles.
I feared printing dry the cartridges the head was burned, what a pity.
I took it for the empty cartridges and other spare parts.
My wife will be happy :).
No time yet to do a postmortem.

@Tigerman
I picked up the 7000 and it is in excellent condition - a year old and seldom used, I was told. I'm looking at cityinkexpress for dye or Lyson, and Inktec from a German eBay seller. The Inktec is CMY-dye and K-pigment, just like OEM. I'm leaning towards the Inktec, being cheaper than Lyson and lower in shipping costs ($10) to UAE.

.

FYI:

I took the MX7600 out the car tonight, placed fresh cartridges, and after 3 nozzle checks and cleaning cycles the printer was fully functional again.
It looks less used than mine.

Seems Canon pigment printers do not clog or burn out so fast, my son's 9500 was inactive for a year and could be revived the same way.
The cartridges dry faster than the print head.

The seller did not want to spend the money for new cartridges, certainly more than what he paid for the printer.

He also made the error to remove the PGI-9 cartridges.
It was clearly visible they sucked air when left without clip.
Reinstalling them must have aspired air in the head.
