I. @turbguy , I wonder if the loose connection is a problem with all i-series printers or maybe caused by the hoses lose elasticity due to old age? Is there any suitable replacement hose material available? I guess these printers are around 10 years old now?

The small hoses used are a rubber-like substance. All elastomers age and change material properties. I would think that this type of hose could be located at hobby shops and the like....

thanks for replies. But I will wait with disassembling a printer because i bought same printer and now I'm waiting for it. That printer is not ok and I get it for low price.(40$ with shipping)) He is blinking 5 times orange (head problem).
So when it comes I learn on it how to disassemble the printer. Also I get maybe a parts for purge unit... When I start I think next week, I will reply.
Also seller of new head offer me to test it. So I send him a head. For be 100% sure it is ok.

I put my printer back in the life again right now. Many thanks for all good and true replies. I wouldn't do that without your help.
Hat I only unscrew 4 screw to remove chassis from the bottom and two off that four was some bracket of cd tray, i think you don't have that because you printer dosen't support cd printing. So actually there was only 2 screws. I put pictures of that two screws.
So problem was of course as you suspected in hose disconnected from tube. I only put the hose back, check other hose, assemble the printer and do nozzle check which was perfect.
Sponge was pretty white so I didn't cleaned it. It is 40% waste ink full printed on service print. Next time when hose disconnected I will clean it.
I didn't have a patient waiting for spare printer, I have some free time so I do it know. Now I will get for two days one more printer...
And at the end I must say, when PeterBJ put a post there is no much space for any words or questions, just read and do it.

Congratulations! :thumbsup

Out of curiosity, how well did the druckerchannel.de instruction that was primarily for A4 printers match your A3 printer?

Well enough to get the fingers in. Principle is same, I9950 have more clips for case, and I have to locate alone screws which join chassis to bottom only 2. Also I must remove bracket of CD printing tray which on printer on druckchanel didn't have. And I didn't disconnect cable's from power supply, but what I see it is little different. I9950 don't have plastic which they described, it some other wave... And I didn't need translate they have on webpage to choose language en or do.

For microbanding I will wait for new head. I send it to seller to check it.
But you have right, I should test it and with the old one. How to know when purge unit started with issues.
Because I always have problems with to magenta/red pictures. I have test printer only with one photo which haven't any light blue areas. I will print same picture with blue sky from beginning of post and reply.

Again..... hose disconnected from tube.... now from first purge. I print picture of blue sky and it was even worse than before. Then I do service print and I saw some nozzle defect. Put water in purge plastics (picture last one), first one soak immediately. So I do this... first I need this tools for disassembling and nobody at home wife, childrens cousins, relatives..
IMAG1068.jpg
than removed first small side plastics, it has mark where to put screwdriver.. only one mark for each side
IMAG1070.jpg
and than removed buttons, one mark pushed with screwdriver
IMAG1074.jpg and then removed connectors used small flat screwdriver and pushed gently from sides than upIMAG1076.jpg
after that removed all front case, there is upkeep 7 positions where to pull, first release all pushing in mark position with screwdriver and lifting wit other hand gently up. When they are all released, lift up all front cover. Also Removed plastic which is on usb connectors
IMAG1103.jpg
then unscrewed 2 screws
IMAG1060.jpg IMAG1059.jpg
and two screws, and small spring of a bracket for "something" CD printing (I think i9900 models don't have this)
IMAG1095.jpg
So now chassis is released from bottom and can be gently pull out, (first must go I don't know now in one direction for one cm then pull up) but just little away, because it is still connected with cables from power supply,
IMAG1081.jpg
In this stage have approach to a defect purge hose(s):
IMAG1078.jpg
So now I do this with both hoses I don't know still is this good solutions (time will show), I didn't just put back hose to tube because i don't want to gamble again and dissembling printer every day. ( continued on next post)

On both sides I rolled up aluminum tape doing a pressure while rolling up. this give tenseness. And I try to pull up when I put hose in the tube and it is much stronger then before. With no tape it really goes easy off from tube.
After installing tubes also connected both with tape
IMAG1090.jpg
Now putted chassis on bottom and check with water there is no leakage on purge pads (picture last one)

IMAG1093.jpg
So now I'm printing again..
I do this post because I saw many issues with purge unit for i9950 and i9900, but people thinking that head is not all right (like me in beginning)
And what I read about, when some group off color dies, they bought new head and same thing, and throw printer and new head in garbage...
with lot of frustrations.
