Error 6000 is related to Line Feed operation, especially to LF sensor (it may be covered with dirt or something).
Take a look on iP4600 print engine (it is mechanically same as MG5340): http://www.startcopy.ru/repair/rol_c_ip4600_1.shtml
Big transparent wheel in the center is Line Feed Encoder (
note black sensor below its center).
Uuups
MG5430, not a MG5340
Not big dill, error code is still same in terms of meaning.
MG5430 is build around iP7230 print engine (iP7250 in EU), a little bit different :/
The error code 6000 is common for many Canon printers and means line feed error, as stated by Łukasz. Here is a clip from the service manual for MG5200 series of printers:
The two disks have fine markings that are read by optical sensors, that shine a light through the disks. If the disks or sensors are dirty, they don't function properly. The disks can be cleaned with a window cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Be very careful not to scratch or bend the disks.
Maybe one thing first - in witch moment this error appear?
Error 6000 is picked up on sensor close to the small electric motor.
Second sensor and second disc (closer to paper exit) will pick up Error 6010.
Error 6000 means: timing disk spins too slow or at all.
LF spinning can be observed without taking apart of the printer.
Under carriage rail, there is metal shaft, that is linked to LF Encoder:
If LF is blocked, metal shaft won't spin.
In MG5340 LF motor is providing spin to following assemblies:
- paper feed rollers, especially metal shaft (but not pick up rollers!)
- carriage lift switch (reversed spin only)
- (via metal shaft) valve shaft in purge unit (reversed spin only)
- paper exit opener
- duplexer rollers and its switch (reversed spin only)
Oh God, what do I do experimented kinds of detergents and ink remains on the ring disk transparent Help me I'm sure this is why my friends any suggestions substance use
A soft rag moistened or wetted with a window cleaner with ammonia can be used to clean the ink away from the disk without risk of damaging the fine markings. As the inks are water based the window cleaner is much better than alcohol to remove the ink stain.
How did the disk get stained with ink? Did the ink absorbers overflow, due to the ink absorber counter being resat without cleaning or replacing the absorbers?
