I am having problems with installing profiles in Mac OS X 10.11.4. These profiles must be copied to /Library/ColorSync/Profiles, but I am unable to set this folder to read/write permissions even though I have administrator rights according to system preferences. I get an error that I do not have the rights to change the settings.

It can be locked. Right click on the folder, chose Get info and click on the padlock at the bottom corner to unlock it.

Well, I tried, as you might have read: but according to the OS, I do not have the right privileges, which is insane, because I am an administrator according to the user setting. That is the real problem. I can unlock it, but when trying to set the read/write setting I get an error: not allowed.

Just updated to 10.11.5 and problem has been solved now, so it was a 10.11.4 problem.
