This is a great printer, overall. But I am having issues right now with not printing yellow .. black dulls it right down and prints like a totally flat brown
When I did nozzle check (one of many) diff variables of roughly the same issue shows up - the yellow lines are either mostly black, sometimes only 3 lines black, sometimes those 3 lines shift to up a few rows and now mostly all black lines.
I use proper Epson inks and tanks almost full. I have done numerous nozzle checks and cleans and finally did a power clean and same issue
can't figure out whey black shows up with other colours when nozzle check prints out
thanks!!!!

Please post a nozzle check showing the problem, I'm afraid that there is a cross-leak between the black and yellow ink paths in the printhead.
Do you have black stains at other places ? Thee is as well a possibility of some pigment ink residue build-up at the cleaning unit - at the left side where a rubber lip is moving up and down, this can be removed with a paper towel when you move the printhead away - cycle power with the power cord - once the head is moving pull the power cord and the printhead can be moved freely.

I'm afraid to say but this looks very much like a cross-leakage between ink channels inside the printhead, there is nothing the user can do. This would require a printhead replacement; such instances are rare but happen once in a while on Epson printheads. Could you register for extended warranty of 3 years - which may have been available for you at the time of purchase , but this varies between countries and Epson business regions.

Thnk you for your help and response! Much appreciated!
Now I am wondering if the cost of repairing or buying a new printer will be close in cost

Epson publishes a repair pricelist for typical activities in some countries like printhead replacement, you may look on the Epson pages for your country under service/repair. Or you have some independent repair shop in your country - I don't know.

Thank you for that information, I am in Canada and just quickly looked for re.
Can I ask you one more question, if I decided it was better for me to just get a new printer, and I have always needed top loading, large format (I print a lot of 11"x17") with photo quality print in ecotank series, is there any model that you would recommend for me to take a look at?

Do I understand you that you are not happy with the paper handling of the ET-7750 ? If you are looking for other printers with this format you may consider switching to a pigment ink printer like the Epson P700 or to an L1800 Ecotank dye printer which may or may not be available in Canada. You can load about twice the number of sheets into a L1800.
The newer ET-8550 is very similar to the ET-7750 with the paper handling via the rear tray. Or you switch to a larger format printer like the P900 , but that's as well a pigment ink printer. I don't know if you have experience with pigment ink prints - they look a kind of different to prints with dye inks and it would require you to do some testing until you find the best paper(s) to can go with - switching to pigment inks it's not just a 1:1 thing and continuing with the same papers and expecting the same results.

I do like the paper handling of ET7750, because I mostly use the rear feed.
I will get some ideas of cost of repair and I guess decide whether worth it or better to buy new.
Thank you for your help and advice! much appreciated!
I may be back here in a few days
