Looking For Advice - Canon IPF710

The wife has been after me to start looking into printer that does larger images than A3+ (13x19). I found my starter printer, the Canon IPF710, one that needs some attention so I can tinker with and learn how it operates. It's a good time now, as winter has set in here in the Illinois, and its gives me a lot of time to tinker. It comes with the full compliment of inks and a new print head so this is a good start, but no paper, but this is a minor issue (you can buy 100 foot rolls rather inexpensive for testing).

This is my first time looking at these printers, so excuse me if I ask some basic questions. Is there a refilling solution for these ink carts (PFI-102)? Do they need a chip resetter of any kind? Are there any pitfalls that can happen with these printers.

I don't know these Pro printers but according the service manual they look a lot more complicated than the more modest home use models, so a service manual might be useful.

Is there a refilling solution for these ink carts (PFI-102)?

there are sellers of compatible cartridges, and I can see refill cartridges at Aliexpress with Autoreset chips

Good News! I would like the auto reset chips. This is my first experience going with a 36 inch printer and this is going to fill up my office to some degree. Good thing I cleaned it up recently.
