Getting Fingers Dirty
Not much in it to be honest, both give very good quality ,I couldnt really state which is better.rconn2 said:Fano - sorry to be posting so much, but since you have an ip3000 and r200, which has better photo quality? My r220, despite ink costs etc., certainly seems excellent to me, but I've no way to compare.
One major flaw of the 3000 is that it mixes the 3 colours ,cyan, magenta and yellow to get black in photos.
This sometimes results in a dark greeny black aka Matrix black like the film.
The Canon is a better option because
i.Lower ink costs
ii.Faster printing
iii.More xtras,i.e duplex printing,paper cassette holder,sturdier build,better cd tray.
I dont have the R200 long,I use it as my back up printer.
The Pixma 3000 does seem to be very temperamental though and the printhead tend to develop faults.
I'm on my 4th printhead in just over 1 year which is very poor.
Perhaps I was unlucky but each time the same fault occured, the cyan nozzles blocked.
Perhaps its because I use compatible ink but who knows.
