Yes, the nozzle check looks perfect.

We need to know some more details about how you are printing.

What kind of paper?

What size of paper?

Bordered or borderless?

Feed from bottom or back?

What quality of printing?

I also have an MP760, in fact, since I recently burned out the one I had been using for many years, I am now using my backup so it is essentially new. If you can email me the file you are printing and answer the above questions, I will see if my printer behaves the same way.

@quertydude
What is german refill ? Does it imply sausages ?

@ghwellsjr
The kind of paper is precisely Ferrania OptiJet Professionnel Brillant papierphoto 260 g/m2 which means 7,66 oz/sqy
The size is A4 : 8.3 in. by 11.7 in.
Printing is borderless or bordered, tried both and changes nothing.
Fed from the back.
Quality maximum (1).
Please let me know your e-mail so I can send you the file.

Cheers
Fred

One last question: what application are you using to print your photo?

The German method of refilling is described here.

E-mail sent. Note the test.gif attached was not printed full screen. It was printed on about one ninth of the page, juste to demonstrate -successfully- the problem here.

I use Photoshop CS2 to print.

I received a test.tif from you, not a test.gif, and I am unable to open it with any application I have. I don't have Photoshop but I do have the PhotoStudio that came with my Canon camera (or was it the printer?).

Got the pdf and I was able to print it using IE or Adobe Reader but it will only print at 3.25"x4.75". I cannot change the size no matter what I do.

Can't you send me a .bmp or .jpg? The .bmp would be preferable unless it is enormously large.

Normally, as I said before, the problems should appear as well when printed in a small size. Do they not ?

I took another look at the pictures posted above. I think I can see now what you are referring too. Since I'm color blind, I wasn't sure where the orange clouds were and I was looking at the very top of the picture, like the first inch or so but I think you just mean in the top half of the picture and the stripes in clouds appear aproximately in the center of your picture in post #6 and they are fuzzy and not sharply defined.

None of these artifacts appear in the small printouts I make on my MP760.

When I asked what kind of paper you are using, I really need to know what paper you are telling the printer you are using.

I'm going to suggest that you print this color test pattern. Try it in as many qualities are available for your paper type.

Merry Christmas,

I printed the pattern the way I do for my nebula. I then scanned it and here is the result :

4169_sans_titre-1.jpg

I select professional photo paper under the settings in canon driver along with personalized quality set to 1.

I then disable any kind of color management (Photoshop does it).

I think I'm left to trying another kind of paper now. What do you think ?

@ghwellsjr : I surrounded the problematic area, and drew black lines over three among the numerous faulty lines in the picture below
