If we could take a vote, you would see many here vote for Canon. I never had much luck with Lexmark. Canon does want to get rich off very high ink prices, but you can refill or use CISS and solve the ink cost problem.

Canon printers produce great photos, print high quality text, and operate reliably.

Go for Canon, Lexmark is very expensive to print with and even refilling the lexmark carts is problematic due to the very limited possibility to refill the unified printhead/inktank construction.

I have a bias against All-In-Ones, but I may be in the minority, since I see many of them for sale at moderate prices.

The complexity makes opening up for repair much more difficult.

I prefer a separate scanner and printer. Since the scanner I prefer is Epson, and the printer I prefer is Canon, I can't get them in one unit. I don't need a Fax, so I don't miss that.

Others may be very happy with All-In-One units. Lets hear from them.
