the size of the newer cartridges is really disturbing, i quess i just need to vent that i am tired of these printer manufactors altering the cartridges and down sizing them, the latest that i am using are the 220/221 cartridges, is there a canon AIO, wireless, document feed not needed that uses the CLI-8 cartridges at least i wasn't refilling as often with those cartridges

To help you vent even more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA-uN2Dmn0M

On to your question: PIXMA MP800R is the only wireless AIO that uses CLI-8 (to my knowledge). But its impossible to find anymore.

Some old Canon models can be equipped with a Bluetooth module, but I think it would be slow.

MX850 also uses CLI-8 and is wireless.

I wouldn't say impossible. It may require more determination, time and the willingness to part with your money for something that may not be new in the box. Try eBay, Craigslist, second-hand stores like Goodwill, etc. Ask for a nozzle check or see the printer in action if possible to determine proper function.

The MX850 (my main printer and the best AIO Canon has ever made) is not wireless but it can be equipped with a Bluetooth module which is cool for a variety of reasons, but not fast enough.

All in all, I think a modern wireless non-Canon AIO with refillable cartridges such as these or those, is a better option.

I need to vent, too.

I have this Pixma IP4850 for about 3 weeks and compared to IP5000 and IP4500 is not an improvement at all.

Is is noisy, sounds like cheap thin plastic, it takes ages to start a print job and a millennium after a cartridge replacement/refill.
The ink is more expensive and a lot of it is going straight to waste pads - 526 Bk emptied without being used.
After only a week and 400 pages the pigment black was out of alignment and the second printhead alignment did not solved completely the issue, with alignment value being at maximum.
And the cherry on top - puny little cartridges holding only 10ml/6ml at refill.

What ink did you use on it?
InkTec for 525/526.
Until now I refilled the 525 12 times, 526 Cyan and Magenta 4 times, Yellow 2 times and Black 1 time.
