I have an HP 1100D. It has separate printheads and ink cartridges for eack color. The colors are working but I can't get the black to work. I've tried cleaning/soaking the black printhead and determined I need to get a new one and give it a try.
My question is - are the new "printheads" shipped with ink inside?
I'm looking at some on the auction site. I can buy all four for the price of one retail. They are new in box, sealed etc., but out of date. Some by a few years. I don't want to buy one of these to find that the ink inside has dried and not usable..
