Rob, perhaps you could just make this thread sticky so that it would be easy to find. Would that increase any legal risks?

Good discussion! I agree that there is definitely a difference between hosting the content and members of the forum linking to the content in a thread. I can't imagine there being any problems with linking to information that is readily available on the various printer sites. The only time I could imagine it being a problem is if people are linking to "warez" sites that are hosting the manuals that they didn't get permission to use.

Instead of sticking this thread, how about someone with a handful of links start a new thread with an appropriate title and people can start adding to it?
