I have a new ip4500 that I have used for about a month.
All of a sudden, the magenta has developed streaks right in the middle of the color.
I have done multiple cleanings and deep cleanings and the problem has not been solved.
Attaching couple of scans.
Could somebody please tell me how to solve this issue?

Is this a new printer or just a new print head from the previous problem you were having because this current head seems to be suffering the same sort of electrical problems as the one you previously posted ?.

Do you mean the printhead is fried? What is the fixing solution?

Per your service test print, there is definitely an electrical/electronic issue with the printhead. You can try removing the printhead, cleaning the contacts, and re-installing it, but that probably won't make a difference. You can try a new printhead.

What can cause the printhead to develop this problem? I am on my third print head.
The printer is plugged into a powered Belkin USB hub. Could it be the hub sending electricity and overloading the printer?
How do I clean the contacts? With rubbing alcohol?

How many print heads have you had in this "new printer"?

If you tried one of your "bad" print heads in the "new printer" then one or both of those print heads may have caused a malfunction with your logic assay board. If so, then every print head used subsequently will show the ink defect and may cause a permanent malfunction in every print head.

At this point the issue appears to be either the print head or the logic assay board until further info is known.

Do NOT print anything else besides nozzle checks or perform any printer initiated cleanings until more is known and a learned forum member recommends it.

Easy to tell by plugging the printer into a wall socket not associated with the USB Hub and then the printer's USB plug directly into your computer.

How do I clean the contacts? With rubbing alcohol?
You can use isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth or use a soft pencil eraser to clean any oxidation/ink from the print head contacts and the associated contacts on the printer.

It worked just for three weeks of very casual printing and now, this. Everyone tells me thisis a great printer, built llike a tank. I am certainly starting to doubt this after electronic problem in the brand new print head three weeks into its life
