So the scan came out a bit weird. The lighter 2 magenta boxes do print out, some small faint broken lines, but it's there. It's weird that my HP Laserjet MFP didn't pick it up. However, I can say for sure that just about NOTHING cyan printed. The cyan cartridge is nearly full, so it's not that it ran out of ink.

At least on the positive note, I managed to fire off the nozzle check manually in Linux through the command line
To do that, I just had to run:
lpr -o raw 00004.SPL -P Canon-PIXMA-MP610
"Canon-PIXMA-MP610" is what I named my printer as in CUPS. I had to pull the raw spool file of the nozzle check in Windows, as the previous forum posting noted about automating it.

The letters on the left between the small bars should be black.
Once I had these wrong colored letters too, an extended nozzle check showed more information, in short the PH was damaged...

I don’t get it I taught your original problem was the magenta but now you’re Cyan is non existing and your still missing two of the light magenta strips.

The print head has been damaged beyond recovery but the missing Cyan could still be down to ink starvation in that cartridge !

The cleaning method may also have contributed greatly to the loss of the Cyan, but that is just speculation, you should have posted an nozzle check a lot earlier if you were to have any chance of saving the print head, sorry…

What are the symptoms of cartridge starvation on the nozzle check?

Ink starvation is just that the cartridges won’t/can’t supply enough ink to the heads for the document that is been printer.

But this seldom happens on a nozzle check because it take so little ink to produce a nozzle print, unless of course the cartridge has some serious gunk build up inside it or the air maze is completely blocked then no ink will flow out of the cartridge at all.

When you can’t produce a good nozzle print you should not print any further documents or photos till you can resolve this issue properly, otherwise you run the risk of burning out the print head. (Nozzle prints are expectable)
