Sadly you cannot do this. The Pixma 4200 uses the QY6-0059 printhead, the Pixma 4300 uses the QY6-0061 printhead.

I've recently received the canon refillable oem carts for sale on precision colours. Filled them with some ink i bought in the last few weeks, there's no branding on the bottle so i can't say any more about the ink other than all the other colours are working perfectly.

Still getting the same results with the new cartridges i'm afraid to say. I can only get the yellow to print if i put a little dab of cleaning fluid on the yellow inlet, then give it two cleaning cycles and i can print again for a very short time.

thanks.

Can you post some nozzle checks? Do a nozzle check, then a head cleaning, another nozzle check and post them here.
The best thing you can do while your waiting is to print a nozzle check and post it up for us to give you an answer one way or the other.
Then youll know for sure if your print head is damaged or not and whether a new one will be required..
