insight on refilling

UPDATE:
I discovered that if i change the paper setting to Matte Photo paper the MAXIFY MB2750 takes and prints on 110lb cardstock (single sided, but that is just fine !)
I ampleased, this is a nice machine and like the ease of (it appears) of souring catrs and ink.
I shall be keeping this machine after all.

Aim a little higher and get a Canon Maxify inkjet printer.

Refillable, larger capacity cartridges. Third party ARC cartridges on Alibaba. Third party ARC cartridges and refill ink at Precision Colors.

Are there any specffic Stores on Alibaba that you have used or recommend for ARC carts or any advice in sorting through the ones that are avaialble?

Any advice or insight on ink in general?

I haven't bought a single thing from Alibaba. You should direct your questions at The Hat who does buy from Alibaba and refills his Maxify.

yes thank you, i did find a seller on alibaba just before you posted that sold a single set, that was the issue originally.

Business on Alibaba is more directed to resellers - you typically find minimum orders quantities, sometimes other shipment or payment options like an escrow service etc. But lots of sellers on Alibaba offer single or low quantities of their products as well on Aliexpress - it's the same parent company for both selling platforms.

There are also two types of cartridges and two types of ARC chips, if you get the wrong ones you may have some issues…
P.S. only use AliExpress…

Yes indeed and there are at least two types of ARC carts for the Maxify. Some have an internal "bladder" bag and others are just plain. Some users including myself have tried both types and IMO the bag type is better, note however I have gone back to filling the OEM carts with ARC chips added and they work well.

I suggest reading the huge thread to form your own opinions.
