Hi
New to the Forum and new to printing, and would appreciate a little help.
I have the i6500 printer which claims to be an A3 printer but when i try to print at this size i can only get A3.
I go to the page set up and then page size and find that A3+ is not listed. I have tried Fit to page etc and anything else that seems relevant but the best i can manage is an A3 print on A3+ paper.
I have tried to print through both Photoshop Elements and Picasa and the displays are the same so i assume that this is governed by the printer and not the Image Editor.
I am 70 years old and new to all this and all i want to do is print some of my photos to frame and put on the wall.
I have managed to master the basics of the Image Editors but this problem has got me frustrated.
I would appreciate any help that can be offered and ask that you keep it simple.
Thank You
Beejay.

beejay,

I don't have an i6500 (nor have I even heard of it), but my i9900 is also an A3+ Canon printer. Do you have a selection similar to this in your Printing Preferences?
113_papersize.jpg

What sizes does it list?
Have you tried the "Custom..." option?
If a slider appears to the right of the list, make sure that you move it up and down to reveal any hidden sizes.
Have you tried downloading the latest driver, deleting the old driver and installing the new one?

For doing a lot of printing at various sizes, I prefer Qimage, as it makes many (formerly difficult) printing tasks easy.

Thank you Grandad i think you may have solved my problem. On the " page size " image that you show it gives the line A3+ 13ins x 19 ins 329 x 483mm . On my version it just gives 13 ins x 19 ins. I had no idea that this was A3 as only the metric size appears on the Canon photo paper packet.
Thanks again.
