How to refil 26 series cartridges (T26XX) and which ink? (Epson XP-600 and 800 series)

Hi All,
I just bought an Epson Expression XP-810 and started reading the forum in search for reliable methods to refill the OEM carts (T26xx).

1. Is there any reliable method to refill the OEM carts (e.g. the german "Durchstich" method for some Canon carts)?
2. Do the refillable compatible carts (the ones transparent with the sponge) work as well as the refilled OEM's?
3. Could you please advice a good ink brand for epson XP-810 printer?

I have an Epson printer, and I have spongeless refillable cartridges with autoreset chip.
I only have to remove the plug, put the ink inside and insert the plug.
Thanks to the autoreset chip, I don't have problem. The only thing is to check regulary to make sure it's not empty. The chip autoreset itself when it's empty.
Maybe there are compatible for your printer.
Image Specialist makes very good inks.

In my experience, Epson OEM print carts do not have sponges. Perhaps your model does?

I am remusing this discussion to receive further advices about good replacement ink and chip resetter.

I still have to buy the ink and the cartridges are almost empty....

Someone says that they work also with Starter carts, others say No!. Someone have a final word on it?

Why would you like to refill the original starter cartridges instead of refill cartridges with ARC chips ? I see various offers with such cartridges - Ebay - ink sellers. Refill of Epson cartridges is typically difficult to impossible - no resetter available, problems with the reverse ink flow because of the internal membrane valve which lots of Epson cartridges use. T26xx refill cartridges are on the market since a while, you just should prevent any firmware update via the driver rendering particular date codes useless in some time.

Do you mean non-OEM carts with ARC chips?

I must admit to be very confused about it.

This topic is also discussed in another thread, www.printerknowledge.com/threads/epson-xp-600-and-800-series.7932 and they report that the non-OEM cartridges are unreliable

So far we've completely ruled out the refillable cartridges as they just flood the printhead and are basically useless. Some of that may be the inks we're using (OCP) but it's unlikely to be the primary issue...

and the same went for the ARC chips (only available for XL carts size). What they advice is to use OEM carts with resetter or ARC chips

The above thread is at least one year old, so I am wondering if in the meanwhile something has changed and now non OEM carts and ARC chips both has became reliable.

if you search the net you will find in aliexpress and ebay ,and probably in city ink express the continuous ink supply system ( CISS ) with auto reset chip for your printer model, and in YouTube you will find some videos explaining how to install this system . I think it is easy more clean and more economical to deal with. refilling the OEM carts. is headache and messy ,it is not always successful especially the yellow ( i don't know why the yellow carts. is trouble maker),you may damage the cart. and end up buying new OEM carts. set . Resetter is not always working.
