how to make cleaning cartridges for 1520?

Hi, I'm trying to recover an old printer EPSON 1520.

I tried to use my Canon cleaning cartridges recipe (10ml water, 1ml Window cleaner, 4 drops ammonia), but it is not working.
What is the proper recipe for cleaning cartridges for EPSON?

Worth getting hold of the printhead cleaning guide from Art Entlich via this article: http://www.octoink.co.uk/kb/questions/102/

He'll have the appropriate method for that old thing given that Epsons are pretty much his bailwick.
